Beginner's Fun Day


Hi everyone,

We will be having a BEGINNERS FUN DAY on October 14. 

The fun day consists of us going out to eat lunch and bowling. It will be subsidized by the club, so it will be very affordable!

We will be meeting at 12:00PM at Mel Lastman Square which is right next to the North York Centre Subway Station.

Hello Everyone, We just realized some people have midterms next week. But we hope most of you can still make it tomorrow to the fun day. Many of you will procrastinate, so just take a break from studying and come out for an hour at least. We will be meeting at 12:00PM at Mel Lastman Square and from there we will walk to Ichiban Sushi for Lunch. It will be a lot of fun.

Summer News Hello York Kendo, Just a few announcements for you today:       Practice schedule has not been released yet. Your exec team is actively communicating with York Athletics and Recreation to establish practice times for the remainder of this summer. September 1st Practice Cancelled

Hello York Kendo, Practice will be cancelled this Saturday September 1st, as we are encouraging everyone to attend the Team Canada Open Shiai Practice at U of T Upper Gym from 1pm-5pm. We will be starting Fall Practice on September 6th from 6:30pm-8:30pm at Tait McKenzie Upper Gym, and we hope to see you there!

Beginners' Fun Day! Yay!

Hello Hello! York University Kendo Club invites all Beginners and Senpais to our annual long-standing tradition of the Beginners' Fun Day! It will be held on this coming Saturday October 5th 2013, beginning at 9am with our usual practice! Practice will be more of an unconventional one than usual, with programmes designed specially for everyone to have fun. After practice, we shall be heading towards Lunch with the Senseis, then Bowling at Yonge and Cummer St. Bowlerama and will end, *drumrolls* with drinks at night--York Kendo style! The Club will be covering a part of the expenses, so it would be extremely affordable for all! You can opt out the other events after Lunch, but we STRONGLY encourage you to stay for other events as well. This is the chance for you to meet and bond with your fellow peers, Senpais and other members of the club, so be sure to come!
